Come and find out about why and how we are tackling invasive species around the Duddon and in particular about Himalayan Balsam removal. You will hear about the successful 2025 season, when we removed over 250,000 plants. We will explain our aspirations for 2026. You can chat to our existing like minded volunteers, see the new equipment provided for 2026 and meet the SCRT team who help support the work, all over a drink and cake.

If the effort catches your interest or imagination you will be able to ‘sign up’ for the new Himalayan Balsam season, which runs from May through to September. We have teams out working on the project most weekends through this period.
